Benefits of Bra Fitting with Triumph

The correct styling and fitting of a bra is crucial to maintain health and cultivate beauty. The breasts (unlike most parts of the body) are not muscle controlled flesh but are delicate glandular structures entirely without muscle and should always be supported in a well fitted bra.

Recent figures show that up to 8 out of 10 Australian women are wearing the wrong size bra and have not had a bra fitting in the last 5 years. Regular bra fittings are important to ensure you are fitted in a bra that’s right for your body shape and lifestyle. Changes in lifestyle like breastfeeding, losing or putting on weight can affect your bra size and as your body changes over the years, so does your taste.

Women often claim shopping for lingerie is right up there with shopping for swimming costumes and visiting the dentist but the pain is taken out of lingerie shopping when you experience the personalised service at the Triumph Warringah Mall boutique.

All staff have been extensively trained in fitting lingerie and see the service as not only checking a customer’s bra size but consulting with them on their lifestyle and lingerie needs.  Triumph brastylists® are able to recommend styles to suit the individual that will look fabulous, fit perfectly and provide all day comfort.

When designing products in their range, Triumph ensures every bra has a quality fit, is comfortable and fashionable. Every Triumph bra is put through an extensive test-wear program where they are worn, washed and tested for comfort, fit and durability before they are released to the Australian market.
The trained brastylists at the Triumph Warringah Mall boutique will ensure you find a bra that fits correctly, fits comfortably and makes you feel like a new women. Visit the store today for a complimentary bra fitting – located on Level 2, Outside David Jones.

Outlined below are some brief points that will help you to determine if your bra is the correct fitting for you.

  • If your bust is spilling over either at the front or at the underarm, there is not enough room for the bust – which means the bra is too small.
  • The side seam of the bra should be at the underarm, away from the fleshy part of the breast. If it is on or too near to the fleshy part then the cup size is too small.
  • If there is slack at the point of the cups this may be because the cups are too big, but it may also be that the cups are too small and the breasts are too big to fit correctly into the bra cup.
  • Check the centre front of the bra to ensure that the separation is positioned in the centre of the bust.
  • Check that the underwire or side boning of the bra is positioned behind the rise of the breast.
  • If the back of the bra rides up, the bra may be too big around the body. This can also mean that the bra straps are too tight and are causing the bra to ride up your back.
  • Check that the straps are not cutting into the shoulders. Red marks on your shoulders or around the body mean the bra is too small.
