Everything you need in OUR STORES

Community club

I am delighted to have this opportunity to introduce our unique Warringah Mall Community Club and briefly explain what we are about and why we have so much fun.

Essentially we are a large social club sponsored by the Warringah Mall merchants. Membership is completely free.

We meet each Wednesday morning form approximately 9:30am to noon in the modern and spacious Community Centre conveniently located adjacent to Hoyts theatre complex and directly above Warringah Library.

Our weekly meetings usually feature an interesting guest speaker or entertainer plus lucky door prizes, raffles, details of future plans and activities, celebrating member’s special occasions, catching up with old friends, making new ones and generally having lots of fun.

In fact, replacing boredom and loneliness with fun and fellowship is the whole purpose of our existence.

Many of our members make or collect items to stock tables of goodies which members can purchase at bargain prices.

All funds raised through these sales as well as the 50 cent morning tea which members can help themselves to, goes to local charities such as Bear Cottage, Volunteer Bush Fires Brigades, Sunnyfield, Dalwood, Cubby House Toy Library, Royal Far West, The Spastic Centre and many more.

It is truly astounding how little amounts ranging from 50 centres to a few dollars can mount up.

Over the past 10 years we have present more than $120,000 to worthy charities, and that’s just a small, but very satisfying part of our program!

In addition to our weekly meetings I also organise day tours by coach to the scores of interesting places that abound in and around our beautiful city. These usually occur on a monthly basis.

Each year I also organise two extended tours, usually of 6 or 7 days duration, to very desirable destinations. In recent times we have experienced the windswept majesty of the Great Ocean Road, toured all around beautiful Tasmania, lived the history of Norfolk Island and taken in the beauty of NSW’s far North and South Coast.

I am currently planning an exciting seven day trip which will take in Whitsundays and Townsville. The cost of these trips represents excellent value. However, each and every member is absolutely free to decide just what they wish to take part in.

It might be catching up with friends at the Mall, listening to interesting speakers, travel, enjoying a change of scenery!

But, what ever the reason, as long as you enjoy good company, believe life is still an adventure and every day precious, you will be warmly welcomed at the Warringah Mall Community Club.
